Melissa Struck

After having interned for Rumbold & Seidelman during law school, Melissa Struck, Esq., joined Rumbold and Seidelman full-time in September 2024.  She is licensed in New York and New Jersey and practices exclusively in the areas of assisted reproduction and adoption law.   Melissa is passionate about family building and brings boundless energy and dedication to her clients.

Melissa earned a bachelor’s degree in English and American Literature and Language from Harvard University, a master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a juris doctor degree from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. At Hofstra, she concentrated in family law and served as Peer Review Editor on Family Court Review. Her work, “Whether you’ve tied the knot shouldn’t matter: Anyone, regardless of marital status, should be permitted to adopt in New York if it is in the child’s best interests,” was published in the April 2024 issue of Family Court Review.

Prior to attending law school, Melissa developed custom ethics and compliance training courses for businesses and had a career in publishing.

Melissa lives on Long Island with her husband and two children.
