THE CHILD PARENT SECURITY ACT WILL GO INTO EFFECT IN FEBRUARY OF 2021!!!

Please join us in celebrating the passage of the Child Parent Security Act (CPSA) which updates New York State’s parentage laws as they related to Third Party Reproduction and specifically allows New York Intended Parents and Gestational Carriers to enter into enforceable compensated surrogacy agreements.  RUMBOLD AND SEIDELMAN IS PROUD TO HAVE BEEN PART OF A SMALL GROUP OF LAWYERS AND OTHER PROFESSIONALS WHO PLAYED A LEADING ROLE IN THE DRAFTING AND PASSAGE OF THE CPSA. This was a ten-year effort, but all good things take time. We thank the legislative sponsors and the Governor and his folks for their devotion to this incredibly important mission. We also thank the members of the Building Modern Families Coalition, made up of a diverse group of advocates who worked tirelessly to gain passage of the bill. Rumbold & Seidelman is intimately familiar with the requirements of the CPSA and we look forward to helping New Yorkers utilize its embrace to ACHIEVE THEIR DREAM OF FAMILY.
