Denise Seidelman
Denise Seidelman, Esq., is a partner of Rumbold & Seidelman, LLP, where she practices exclusively in the areas of adoption and reproductive law. Denise co-founded Rumbold & Seidelman with Nina Rumbold after working as a trial attorney for the Criminal Defense Division of the New York City Legal Aid and as an Administrative Law Judge in New York City.
Denise is a member of the leading national adoption and reproductive law organizations, including the Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys (AAAA), where she was a member of the Board of Trustees from 2016-2020, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), and the Family Law Institute of the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association. She is also a member of the Emeritus Board of Family Equality.
Denise is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the Washington College of Law. She is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey as well as before the Federal District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. She has lectured on adoption and reproductive law as a member of the faculties of the ABA Family Law Section, the Practicing Law Institute, the New York Judicial Institute, the Center for Adoption Policy, and the New York City Bar Center for Continuing Legal Education. She was also a major participant in drafting and advocating for the Child-Parent Security Act, which updated New York State parentage law as it relates to third-party reproduction (children conceived through sperm, egg, or embryo donation or surrogacy).
